  • Scene 1
    • During the first scene, we wanted to bring all the attention to the girl losing the pen. It shows a quick dialogue between two girls. One girl is the friend and the other girl is the one who lost her pen. This scene also shows the pen falling down the steps as the girls are talking about it. 
  • Scene 2
    • This next scene shows how the pen is falling down the stairs. This take really shows how the pen is moving because it will be in slow-mo. 
  • Scene 3
    • This next part shows how the pen finally lands on the end of the stairs after the dramatic fall in the previous scene. Then someone goes to grab the pen up.
  • Scene 4
    •  As they are grabbing the pen it changes to another color. This would be a medium close-up shot. 
  • Scene 5
    • Once they pick up the pen they hand it off to someone else. As they are exchanging the pen it again changes to another color. Then they hand it off to someone else.
  • Scene 6
    •  As they are handing it off the pen drops on the floor. Once it lands it changes color again. Then someone else picks it up.
  • Scene 7
    •  This scene, shows someone sitting down with the pen and writing something down. The pen color changes as they are writing.
  • Scene 8
    •  In this scene, the person whips their hand along the paper to see if it smears. Only to reveal that the pen is smear-proof.
  • Scene 9
    • Lastly, in the scene, a slogan pops up saying "World most stolen pen". Then the words ink joy will pop up.

Clips and Time Crunching

   Now that we’ve finished filming, it’s time to head to our tried-and-true editing app, CapCut. We’ve used this for every project, and I’d like to think we were successful. The first step is adding the clips into the software in order. Despite how simple this may seem, searching through all the videos is difficult. We have to make sure it’s the right clip and place it in the right spot regarding the order. Then it’s time to eliminate time. That’s the most heartbreaking part. You spend hours acting, getting lines, and making sure your costume is correct. Only to have to cut scenes because they take us over time.   When we put the original clips together, we had 7 minutes and 42 seconds. A lot of time is extra. We start filming slightly before and slightly after to make we catch everything. So that cuts down a good chunk of time. Genre Research- Thriller

  Camera angles High angle shots are used to show what is being looked down at as powerless and weak. Close up shots are included to focus on the character’s reaction to a scene. Tracking shots are used to show a character being watched or followed. Tilted angels often are added to add dramatic tension in a scene. Extreme long shots are used to show the setting and overall atmosphere of the place. Low angle shots are used to show a character having power and strength. Point of view shots are included to capture the audience’s attention with what the character is seeing. Mis-en-scene Costumes often represent the stereotype of the character Low lighting to build a suspenseful and mysterious atmosphere. Weapons are the main props used especially in fight scenes.
