Hey everyone, this is my project down below. The name of our movie sequence is DOLLIE. I've worked really hard on this and am excited for you to watch it. Please enjoy!

Finishing Touches

The last thing we did was probably the most critical step for a movie. We finally added the titles! This process was actually fun. I felt anxious, knowing we were hours away from actually finishing our project. Unfortunately, our planned-out title fonts did not work because they did not have the same font on our editing tool. This wasn't a huge deal. It just meant we got to pick new ones.    Before we picked it, I worked on the actual title, title. I had envisioned a bloody title, and that's precisely what I did. Britanique had given me creative liberty when designing the title. I did the same because she created the studio and production company titles. We worked together and took each other's advice because while face-timing, we shared our screens. Once we got those to perfection, it was time to pick out the fonts. We pretty quickly came to a decision of a title that really felt like what we wanted. The font looked like a child's handwriting, so it fit our theme per

The second major thing we needed to address was the audio and the music. This category is my favorite, if I'm being honest. I have always been in charge of the music and audio for our videos. I simply enjoy the process and love spending time focusing and listening for all the key details.    That's what this process is about the key details. Most horror movies would look stupid if they had no audio, comical even. That's why audio is important and why I enjoy it. I started the process like I had done the same all before. I extracted the audios from the clips to see the sound waves that they create and adjust them as needed. That involved cutting a few "go's" out and miscellaneous noise that the camera had picked up. One thing I had to find in particular was laughter. Initially, Britanique and I voiced the laugh, but I found a much better sounding laugh through sound effects. The sound effects were significant for our movie. We had footsteps, city noise, night

Changes from the Film Review

The first thing I needed to correct from the suggestions we got was the lighting. I was in charge of the first half of the video, and Britanique took the second half. Her half didn't require a lighting change because it was supposed to be set in the morning, so bright light was needed. So, the responsibility of making the movie fit its horror convention of dark lighting was on me. I had to edit each scene with a different setting because they all had different lighting because of the angles. This process wasn't complex, but it took me an extended amount of time to change things clip by clip. The options I had to edit included exposure, brightness, vignette, filter strength, etc. I spent several hours doing the lighting. As I went through each clip, I cropped the length of scenes I felt were too long. This helped to blend the shots together. Some of the scenes we had taken were also longer than expected. However, I still had to cut them down to the time allotted. Otherwise, we

Film Review

Today I had someone review our film and give me constructive criticism. The film has not been edited much besides cutting down some scenes and putting them in chronological order.  Still, it was placed together so that it would be a smooth run-through.  I asked my old friend from school if he could review it, and he agreed. He doesn't really have in-depth knowledge, but he does watch a lot of movies. I'm really grateful for him even though we haven't talked in some time he still pulled through for me.  He had actually had a list of things we needed to fix. We face-timed so I wrote everything down below: Bright strange lighting, it had a weird hue to it The titles didn't fit into the scenes where they were placed The scenes didn't blend together that well, needs transitions  The music was just not living up to the horror genre.  The sound was just boring and didn't have a good scare factor The first half was a bit shaky and blurry Looks a bit tacky and corny,
